Learn about the history of the club, key milestones and our current committee.

Linlithgow Bowling Club was formed in 1865 and in 1882 a founding member of the Linlithgowshire Bowling Association (now the West Lothian Bowling Association). We are a club offering excellent bowling and social facilities to both our members and guests.

We aim to provide all our members and guests with a safe and friendly environment. In 2010 at the first attempt and in a first for a sports club in Scotland we were awarded a Gold Star in the Best Bar None Awards. This standard has been maintained each year since.

Members and growing!

Our Chairman

2015 marked an incredible milestone for our great club and will be remembered as a very special year for all those connected with the club. I am honoured to have been the Chairman of the club during this anniversary year.

I take this opportunity to thank the Management Committee and 150th Anniversary Committee, current and past members, staff and all those who have contributed in their own way to produce the flourishing and successful club Linlithgow B.C. is today, respected not only within the bowling community but also within the whole local community.

I have always said that those of us who are lucky enough to be present at this time as members of our club are guardians, with the responsibility to ensure the on-going prosperity of the club so that future generations are able to enjoy continued excellent facilities and camaraderie.

In celebration of our 150 years we have produced a 24 page brochure detailing the club’s history from our formation in 1865 through to Lorna Smith being crowned World Champion of Champions in November 2014.

This brochure is available as a hard copy from the club or by download.
